Rhythms of Renewal

YOU weren't created to be someone who has to figure it out on their own.

Gratitude is…recognizing that there is good in your life, and that it doesn't come from you.

Gratitude shifts the burden off of you and reminds us that Gods got it.

10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. 11 Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help. 12 So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: “Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or human being except to you, Your Majesty, would be thrown into the lions’ den?”

The king answered, “The decree stands—in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.”

Daniel's rhythm of Gratitude grounded him when his situation was overwhelming

16 So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”

God is in control whether we See it or not.

Having a rhythm of gratitude:

-helps us slow down and see that God is in control

-frees us from the pressures we were never meant to carry

-leads us to be who God created us to be, someone who trusts God fully with every moment of our lives

-Journal our gratitude everyday

-Gratitude jar

-Dry erase board in your hallway

-I see you!

-Make a social media post

-Say one thing you are grateful for before bed or while you're brushing your teeth

-Balance a difficulty by sharing a thing you're grateful for.
