ACTS 13
1 Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul.(Paul)
2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Acts 9:15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man (Paul) is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
1st question
ARE YOU SEEKING?
BUT….
-Im content where im at
-Im scared of what may come next
-I dont want my situation to change
-What if God tells me to do something I don't want to do?
What it sounds like to be someone who is SEEKING
-God help me follow wherever you lead.
-I want to obey you God, no matter what.
-God I know you'll provide whatever I need no matter where you want me to serve.
If we love God we will seek His plan no matter what the cost.
2nd question
ARE YOU WORSHIPPING?
Romans 12:1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship
Think to yourself….what am I doing to intentionally worship God while I wait?
-How do you surrender your life to God's plan and purpose?
-How do you remind yourself of the mercy that God has shown to you?
-How do you give thanks consistently to God for what He has and is doing in your life?
-How do you remind yourself that this life isn't yours, but its Gods to be lived for Him and Him alone?
If you are truly seeking Gods plans for your life you will worship while you wait.
Question 3
ARE YOU PREPARING TO BE SET APART?
You can’t really say “yes” to God’s call on your life until you can say “no” to things that will keep you from that call.
